Investigators pulled over a car, found 25 pounds of meth and a 13-year-old boy driving the vehicle. Officers in Mesa County, Colorado stopped the car on Interstate 70, and when investigators walked to the Dodge Avenger, they found the 13-year-old behind the wheel and two other individuals inside of the car. When the officers performed a search of the vehicle, they discovered 23 packages of a crystalline substance.
The 22-year-old, German Michel-Arreola, and 19 year old Irene Michel-Arreola - cousins of the 13 year old boy - were purportedly the other two passengers in the car. All three suspects are now facing felony drug charges including, manufacturing, possession and the distribution of a Schedule I & II substance.
Additional charges of driving without a license and failing to drive in a designated lane, have also been charged to the 13 year old. He is currently being held at the Grand Mesa Youth Services Center in Grand Junction.
All three suspects are from the Los Angeles, California area.
