Sunday Funday

I don’t know about ya’ll but, Sunday in my house means football and food. What kind of food all depends on my fiancé.  Sunday is the only day that he can request a dish and I will actually give it some thought lol. This past Sunday, my hubby woke up and immediately said he wanted pizza, but with a twist. What’s the twist you ask?

I can’t tell you how excited I was to hear that he was actually getting in the kitchen for football Sunday and I could take a break from the kitchen heat.

**Snapple Fact, my fiancé used to be a Manager at a pizza shop. So, he has some know how with this stuff.

On the menu, was a turkey pepperoni pizza, as well as, chicken, bacon (turkey bacon) and ranch. If you haven’t had a chicken, bacon and ranch pizza, you are missing out. Chicken, bacon and ranch has to be one of the greatest combos ever discovered! Trust me, this will become a fav in your house, as it has in mine.

There will be no exact measurements below, as you can add as little or as much of each ingredient as you’d like.

• Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

• Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

• Grated Parmesan Cheese

• 2 - Pre-made Pizza Dough

• 1-Jar Marinara Sauce

• 1 - Pack of Turkey Pepperoni

• 1 - Pack of Turkey Bacon

• Ranch Dressing

• 2 Chicken Breast or Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken

• Italian Seasoning

Prep: Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Take your pre-made dough and set it on the counter. You want to be sure your dough is at room temperature, it will be easy to roll out. Take 2 sheet pans and cover with foil and then spray with some non stick spray. If you do not have 2 sheet pans, that is fine you can cook the pizza one at a time. Or you can place foil directly on the oven rack and then place the pizza on top to cook.

If you are not using Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken, you will want to season your chicken breast and cook in a grill pan. If you do not have a grill pan, no worries. You can cook your chicken breast in a skillet. Once your chicken is done cooking, at this point cook your bacon.

Once the bacon is done, your chicken will be cooled. You will then cut your chicken into small pieces and then cut your bacon up as well

Once your dough is rolled out, place it on your prepared sheet pan. Now lets top our pizza! Spread marinara on the dough. Make sure you leave some dough on the edge without sauce, as that will be the crust. Now, sprinkle some Italian Seasoning on top. We then took about a cup of shredded mozzarella and put that on top. Now spread your pepperoni on top of the cheese. We then added about another cup of mozzarella cheese on top of that.

Finish this pizza by adding another sprinkle of Italian Seasoning and add some of your grated parmesan.

Now for our chicken, bacon and ranch pizza. You will follow the same steps as before. Roll out your dough and add some marinara. Put some mozzarella cheese down and add some chicken and bacon on top of that. Add another layer of mozzarella cheese, but also add some of your cheddar cheese. We used about a half cup of cheddar cheese. Then, drizzle ranch dressing all over the pizza. Use as much or as little ranch dressing as you would like here.

Finish this pizza the same way as before with your Italian Seasoning and grated parmesan.

Put the pizza in the oven to cook for about 15-25 minutes. Our oven runs super hot so our pizzas cooked very quickly. Make sure you keep an eye on your pizza to be sure it does not burn.

Once the pizza is done cooking, let it cool and then cut.

My fiancé is no cook, but he was able to make these pizzas with ease. Usually when he enters the kitchen, it’s a mess and I end up cooking the meal. But, he made the pizza all by himself and needed little of my help. I couldn’t wait to dig in. Thankfully we made 2 pizza because I wanted one all to myself.

Bon Appétit!
